Keathley Landscaping Expands Residential Drainage Contractor Services Ahead of El Nino Season

GARLAND, TX – November 05, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Keathley Landscaping, a full-service landscape company serving North Texas since 2002, has expanded its residential yard drainage services as forecasters anticipate a significant El Nino season across the region. The expansion addresses a seasonal increase in demand from homeowners facing water accumulation, flooding, and erosion tied to heavier rainfall and the clay-heavy soils common throughout the Dallas area.

Poor yard drainage often leads to standing water, soil erosion, foundation damage, and interior flooding. Such damage is typically not covered by standard homeowners insurance, leaving property owners responsible for repair costs that can accumulate over time. As residential drainage contractors, Keathley Landscaping focuses on identifying the underlying causes of water problems rather than applying temporary fixes.

The drainage division is led by Logan Keathley, an NDS Certified Drainage Contractor and NDS Qualified Drain Specialist. The company provides customized solutions including French drains, property grading, and large, custom-designed buried drainage pipes. Each project is assessed according to the specific conditions of the property, including yard grade, soil type, and the way water moves across the landscape during storms.

“Every yard behaves differently when heavy rain arrives, which is why a single approach rarely works,” said Logan Keathley, NDS Certified Drainage Contractor at Keathley Landscaping. “The work begins with understanding where water comes from and where it needs to go. From there, the right combination of grading and drainage systems can resolve problems that have frustrated a homeowner for years.”

The timing of the expansion reflects the heightened risk that an active El Nino season can bring to properties already prone to pooling and runoff. Homeowners who address drainage concerns before sustained rainfall arrives are often able to avoid the more severe damage that develops once water reaches foundations or interior spaces.

“Drainage problems tend to reveal themselves at the worst possible moment, usually in the middle of a storm,” Keathley added. “Preparing in advance gives homeowners durable solutions and a measure of peace of mind when the weather turns. The goal is to put an end to recurring flooding, not to patch it until the next downpour.”

The drainage work is integrated with the broader landscape practice at Keathley Landscaping, allowing drainage systems to be coordinated with other outdoor features rather than treated in isolation. This approach supports comprehensive outdoor solutions that account for both function and appearance across a property.

In addition to drainage services, Keathley Landscaping offers sod installation, landscape lighting, stonework, retaining walls, flowerbeds, hardscapes, landscape design and installation, patio covers, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and tree trimming and removal.

Keathley Landscaping has operated since 2002, serving Dallas and surrounding communities including Garland, Wylie, Plano, Rockwall, McKinney, Allen, and Frisco. The company maintains a customer-focused approach centered on practical and durable outdoor solutions for residential properties across North Texas.
