Keathley Landscaping Emphasizes Critical Drainage Solutions for North Texas Homeowners

Keathley Landscaping, a Dallas-based landscape contractor and NDS Certified Drainage Contractor, is highlighting the importance of proper yard drainage systems as North Texas enters its traditionally wet season. The company specializes in addressing complex drainage issues that can lead to costly property damage if left unresolved.

With over two decades of experience serving Dallas, Garland, Wylie, Plano and surrounding areas since 2002, the company has observed an increase in homeowners experiencing water-related property damage due to inadequate drainage systems. Many property owners remain unaware that standard homeowner’s insurance policies typically exclude coverage for drainage-related flooding damage, making preventive measures essential.

“Proper drainage is the foundation of a healthy landscape and protected home,” said Logan Keathley, NDS Certified Drainage Contractor and owner of the company. “We see too many homeowners dealing with preventable damage because they didn’t realize their yard’s grading or drainage system was inadequate until water started pooling against their foundation or flooding their property.”

The company offers comprehensive Keathley Landscaping drainage solutions including French drain installation, yard grading, channel drain systems, and custom-designed buried drainage pipe networks. As an NDS Certified Drainage Contractor, the company follows industry best practices and utilizes professional-grade equipment to ensure long-lasting results.

Beyond drainage services, the company provides full-service landscaping including sod installation, landscape lighting, stonework and retaining walls, hardscape installation, fence repair and installation, patio covers, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and tree services. This comprehensive approach allows property owners to address drainage issues while simultaneously enhancing their outdoor spaces.

“Every property presents unique challenges when it comes to water management,” noted Keathley. “Whether dealing with clay soil that doesn’t absorb water properly, negative grading that directs water toward structures, or overwhelmed existing systems, there’s always a solution. It requires understanding both the science of water flow and the practical aspects of landscape construction.”

The company emphasizes that early intervention can prevent extensive damage. Signs that indicate potential drainage problems include standing water after rain, soggy areas that never dry out, water stains on foundation walls, and erosion patterns in the landscape. Property owners experiencing any of these symptoms are encouraged to seek professional assessment before minor issues escalate into major repairs.

Established in 2002, Keathley Landscaping has built its reputation on providing reliable landscape design, construction, and maintenance services throughout the Dallas metropolitan area. The company combines technical expertise with practical solutions to help property owners protect their investments while creating functional and attractive outdoor spaces. Their team specializes in both resolving existing drainage problems and implementing preventive measures during new landscape installations to ensure proper water management from the start.
